The Boy Scouts

Troop 628 is a dynamic Troop with a long history in the Saddleback Valley.  We believe strongly that Scouting is building character through a camping program and leadership development. If the program is interesting, challenging and fun, then the scouts will stay with the troop and go up in rank. Therefore our troop runs 16 to 20 campouts per year. These campouts take us from the mountains to the desert to the sea. There is generally one car camp every month, a number of bike hikes, one or two summer camps and one long term summer family trip every year. In addition to the car camping trips, there is also a backpacking program that runs simultaneously. This program begins in the fall with a simple hike and then every couple of months has a progressively more difficult hike till they are hiking peaks of San Gregonio and Mt Whitney.

Community Spirit Award

Do you know someone who helps in the community?  Maybe it's a committee member who works long and hard to improve our forests, or our lakes.  Or a homeowner who goes out of their way to help other homeowners?  Or someone who takes on a project.  Maybe its a homeowner who cleans up the common area after a storm.  Or someone who helps with events at the clubhouse.  There are dozens of "unsung" heros in our community and we want to start singing their praises.  We've established a "community spirit" award and we want to formally recognize these individuals.
 Garden Club

Since 1970 the mission of the Lake Forest Garden Club has been to create, stimulate and inspire an interest in gardening. We accomplish this through our monthly meetings, informative guest speakers, plant and seed exchanges, workshops and field trips.

Our club has many different backgrounds and talents. Some are beginners, and others have a broader knowledge of gardening. We share our knowledge and love of gardening with each other.

We meet on the third Friday of each month from September through June at 9:30 a.m. at the clubhouse. For more information, visit  www.lakeforestgardenclub.net

Girls Scouts

Girl Scouts of the USA is the world's largest organizations dedicated to helping all girls everywhere build character and gain skills for the success in the real world.  In an accepting and nurturing environment, and in partnership with committed adult volunteers, girls develop strong values, leadership skills, social conscience, and conviction about their potential and self worth that will serve them all their lives.  In Lake Forest alone, our program reaches 500 girls and nearly 300 adults.

The Girl Scouts meet at the Beach & Tennis Club September through June on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month.

Pilates by Holly

The Pilates method is a workout dedicated to integrating the total being (body, mind, and spirit) that will strengthen and tone the muscles, improve flexibility, enhance body control, restore physical vitality, improve endurance, reduce stress, and invigorate the mind. Pilates works to achieve results for a balanced body specifically focusing on the core muscles that support the spine beginning with efficient body movements through mind control over muscles helping to build lean muscles and produce flexibility while improving posture, and relieving back pain and chronic discomfort.

Holly Hamel began her Pilates training in 2004 and became certified through Body Arts and Science International in August 2008. She currently teaches at BASI headquarters in Costa Mesa, CA and has worked closely with a variety of pilates professionals including pilates guru Rael Isacowicz. She is now in the process of creating a class that integrates mat Pilates exercises with music to enhance the successful pilates method.

The Yacht Club

Of all the Clubs and Activities within the Lake Forest Community Association, the Yacht Club has it best, hands down!  Living on the lake and enjoying all the activities is a lifestyle second to none.

You don't have to live "on the lake" to be a member of the Yacht Club.  Everyone who lives within our community can enjoy the many festivities that go on throughout the year.  Here are just some of the fun events that take place:
     - Opening Day BBQ on the Lake
     - July 4th Boat Parade
     - Side Tie Party in the Hidden Cove
     - Annual Scavenger Hunt & Beach Party
     - Holiday Boat Parade and Rides

And of course, just our daily cruise on the lake meeting all of our neighbors and friends.  We hope to see YOU on the Lake.

Interested in joining Yacht Club?  Contact Chris Holland, Commodore at  (949) 859-8918 .
